The U's
responded to Tuesday's defeat
at Rochdale in style, bagging an impressive 3-1 win over
neighbours Wycombe in front of a sold out away end. James Constable began the scoring in the opening minutes and appears to have
developed a healthy partnership with Tom Craddock, who doubled the
lead at the start of the second half. Wycombe pulled a goal back
through a penalty but it proved to be no more than a consolation as
Johnny Mullins added the icing on the cake for our first 'M40 Derby'
victory in seven years.
Big shout out to the #oufc fans who are walking, yes, walking to Wycombe today. @andywilmer @thomairs #walktowycombe #charity

5 The goal has fired up both the fans and the players. Great noise from the away end, while the players are snapping into tackles #oufc
— Oxford United FC (@OUFClive) October 27, 2012
Tough start for #wycombewanderers - not much fluidity to their play. Ainsworth miscues free-kick wide #oufc
— Greg Burns (@WWFCAdvertiser) October 27, 2012
Flat atmosphere at Adams Park so far. Little in terms of chances and good football from either side #wycombewanderers

15 A great ball forward from Chapman to Potter earns United a throw-in deep in enemy territory #oufc

— Gavin Howson (@Wycombegav) October 27, 2012
45mins - drama as Dunne's screamer is parried towards Grant but the keeper makes a brave block. Better from the hosts. 0-0.

HT: High Wycombe Wasps 0 - 1 Oxford. High-paced first half. Some good stuff from #oufc, but it’s finely balanced. #oufc
— Big Banana (@bigbananaboys) October 27, 2012
Considering 'The Tinpots' have this as there cup final, not many here, and the ones that are here, aren't creating a 'derby' like feel #oufc

— Ransley (@Yellowtillidie) October 27, 2012
