OTHER STATS

Oxford and Dagenham have only met during the 2006/2007 season. They both enjoyed stellar seasons, with Oxford leading for the start of the season, but a mid season slump of 11 games without a win let Dagenham leapfrog them in the table and gain automatic promotion.

Those 11 games without a win was Oxford’s worst run of games since the 87/88 and 88/89 seasons when they went 27 games without a win.

Dagenham had done well since their promotion in 2007, having gained promotion to League One in 2010 as play off winners. However their first ever season in the 3rd tier of Football was unsuccessful, finishing 21st and relegated by 1 point. Had they won their last game of the season, they would have stayed in the division, at the expense of Walsall.

When the two teams met in August 2006 Oxford won with a second half goal from Yemi Odubade despite Barry Quinn’s red card on 22’ for a professional foul on Paul Benson.
